Like many inner-city communities, Hough and Glenville became popular neighborhoods for families from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds to live until the 1950’s when suburban migration took place. Suburban migration continues today, but thanks to the hard work of community development corporations like Famicos Foundation and financial incentives offered by The City of Cleveland, local lenders, private foundations and institutions, people are moving back to the city to raise their families, contributing to the overall health of the neighborhoods and the greater Cleveland region.
